Biker
Harley-Davidson
My main ride is a 1987 Heritage Softail that I bought new.
Although I don't get to ride as much as I'd like, I do take the occasional long trip.
A few years ago I rode from Ottawa to British Columbia, down the coast road to California,
and then back across the continent diagonally, spending a couple of days at Sturgis.
A total distance of about 15,000 Km in four weeks.
Norton
My other bike is a 1956/58 Norton Dominator that I bought as a rolling chassis and three boxes of parts. It took
me two and a half years to build.
- A picture taken at a local bike show
- It's nowhere near stock:
- 1956 featherbed frame
- 1958 engine and gearbox
- Manx gas and oil tanks
- Manx seat
- Velocity stack (a beautiful sound)
- Twin leading shoe front brake
- Clip-ons
- Rear-sets
- Custom fenders
- Many home-made parts
